Resolving The Abandonment Issues In Sexual Orienatation, Marriage, and Family

“Like an unchecked cancer, hate corrodes the personality and eats away its vital unity. Hate destroys a man’s sense of values and his objectivity. It causes him to describe the beautiful as ugly and the ugly as beautiful, and to confuse the true with the false and the false with the true.”

Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Dr. King’s quote speaks to the politics of humankind. You only have to look at the behaviors and actions of how we can tell a lie long enough, and offer enough, to be preceded as the truth. Our politicians do this to us to influence public opinion so they can lie to us. We quote our bibles and our belief systems to justify our prejudices, hateful acts, and discrimination against people or groups we do not like. 1. I have found this website worth your time for my every day life. It is quite engaging and helpful. Mind you, did anyone view the Australian Open women final now? That had been quite a superior match. Maria Sharapova got her bum kicked by a young girl from Belarus who’ll be the world number 1 soon after the win. That is something. The next day is actually destined to be an awesome day for tennis. Hence whoever’s interested by sure to check it out highschool free essays.

  9. Thank you so much for this nice article!!

Abandonment issues affects our sense of self and our ability to bond and love. Examples of abandonment are given alone with how some people develop pathology in their life and hurt other or themselves.

  10. Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender individuals are not only not abandoning heterosexuals or their religion beliefs; it is heterosexuals and their religious beliefs that are abandoning the people that God has made for us to love! Discrimination toward any individuals or groups of people is wrong and immortal. This discrimination supports immortal acts and behaviors that are destroying the very institutions these people are saying they are protecting.

I could not agree more. When we turn our backs on a marginalized group we are displaying inhumanity and supporting the continuation of the abuse and violence. There have been so many instances of violence that are ignored by traditional media and the blogosphere. It seems as though people feel that it is okay to blame the victim. We can never achieve a socially just society until we say that everyone has the right to human dignity.

    Thanks again!

  13. Really great post, John!

I don’t get this mindless discrimination at all. When I lived in the US, gay marriages were legalised where I lived in Portland, OR then banned as a consequence of the election. I had three lots of gay friends there, all they wanted to do was live in peace with their partners and enjoy the same rights as the rest of us. But suddenly they found themselves in a state where their marriage had been annulled effectively, if not legally, at least in the eyes of others.

I strongly oppose the disenfranchisement of any group within our society. We don’t need to look at the people themselves, we need to look at our world that creates this prejudice, hate and discrimination. Have you ever asked why we do this?

Good work, John! I admire your courage and conviction, May it always continue.

  14. I agree! I hope readers will look at the pictures on that site you provided and understand that this is wrong!

    Thanks!

  15. I cannot thank you enough! You are so correct…discrimination is discrimination! Because the target of discrimination has changed it still does not make it right!

Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts!

  16. I think the message is discrimination is discrimination. The article opens up a good argument against discrimination with good wise and deeply thought quotes alongside. Inspiring blog. Thanks

  17. It’s depressing to think that your family would alienate you just because your are different from them. It is also pathetic to think that parents would kick their own son/daughter out from the house instantly just for the sake of religion, culture, society etc. Not a surprise to see gay guy ends up marrying a girl just to obey parents, religion, culture etc. It’s a common scene in my country. I see it as a continuous civilization tragedy.
